Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Block Boy is a puzzle game. It's designed to work without collecting your personal information. There are no ads, no tracking and no third-party SDKs, and we never sell your data. This policy explains what the app stores and where.
Data stored on your iPhone
Your scores, progress, gems, unlocked worlds and hats, sticker album, settings and play statistics are saved on your device. They are not sent to us. Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you choose to tell Block Boy your birthday in Settings, only the month and day are saved, on your device, so he can celebrate with you. It is never sent anywhere, and you can turn it off at any time.
Launch notice on this website
If you sign up on tryblockboy.com to hear when Block Boy launches, we save your email address and the date, nothing else. We use it once, to tell you the game is out, then delete the list. We never share or sell it. To be removed sooner, email support@pauram.com.
Widgets and Live Activities
To show your streak in widgets and on the Lock Screen, the app shares a small summary (streak, today's Daily status, best score, gems and league) with its own widget through an app group on your device. This data stays on your iPhone.
Game Center
If you're signed in to Game Center, your scores, achievements, challenges and activities are sent to Apple's Game Center so they can appear on leaderboards and to your friends. Apple's handling of this data is covered by Apple's privacy policy. Block Boy works fully without Game Center.
Notifications
Reminders are off unless you turn them on. When on, they're scheduled locally on your device. Block Boy does not use push notifications or a notification server.
Photos
If you save a wallpaper, the app asks for permission to add images to your photo library. It can only add images. It cannot read your photos.
Purchases
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app only learns which item was bought so it can deliver it.
Analytics and remote settings
Block Boy does not include advertising, ad networks or third‑party tracking. The app can fetch game settings (such as event dates, prices and how often helpful pieces appear) from a configuration file.
If usage summaries are turned on, the app sends at most one short summary a day: the day number, the day you first played, the number of sessions, minutes played, average score, games per mode, rank, number of trophies, whether the Legend Pass is owned, whether the phone folds (iPhone Duo) and how many games were played half-open, app version, language, and a random test group ("A" or "B") used to compare game settings. It contains no device identifier, name, location or contact details, and the server does not store IP addresses. It can't be used to identify you or to follow you across apps.
When this is on, the app also sends crash and freeze reports that iOS collects (through Apple's MetricKit): the app and iOS version, the device model and a technical trace of what went wrong. They contain no identifiers or personal information and are used only to fix bugs.
Children
Block Boy does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
